A RETRO Experience You Can Count On

Searching for a competitive price at a family owned and operated motel, well you've found it!  Scott Shady Court Motel has been a staple in Winnemucca since 1928. We offer old time customer service with superior housekeeping with a second to none retro vibe. Staying with us is like stepping into the past (at least that is what our customers say) from the feel of the rooms to the private vintage playground that's fun for all ages. We are always pet friendly with no additional charge or deposit required.  


We will match anyone's advertised price so come enjoy our wonderful property and take a swim to relax!!!!

Pool has been re-plastered and painted, we are so thrilled about how wonderful it looks.  David our Maintenance Manager has done a beautiful job!!!  


In addition to nightly lodging we offer EXTENDED STAY  options for drillers, mine workers and other contract laborers. These rooms are set apart from our regular nightly stay rooms which provides privacy to both our long term and nightly guests.  1 or 2 bed options are available. The extended stay option offering a reduced weekly rate and includes a private room with 1  or 2 queen beds, housekeeping services, and free coffee.  Each room has a flat screen TV (with direct TV service and the ability to use your own subscriptions to access HULU, Prime, and Netflix just to name a few), a microwave and new small fridges with a separate freezer compartment are included in each room. No deposit is required and our rates are some of the best in Winnemucca. Sorry - NO PETS allowed for our extended stay rooms. We also have Semi-Truck parking and Special rates for all Truckers & Pilot  Car Drivers !!!!

 Driving up to the property was a blast to my past in the most inviting and playful way possible. The red mail box was a teat.  My key was thoughtfully enveloped and attached to a bag of goodies for my 3yr old.  The only negative to the stay, not having the time to enjoy all the lovely immensities.

The red mail box was a teat.  My key was thoughtfully enveloped and attached to a bag of goodies for my 3yr old.  The only negative to the stay, not having the time to enjoy all the lovely immensities.  The room was the cleanest I have ever stayed in and that included the bedding and towels, the room had a huge flat screen TV and got load of channels.  Will definitely be staying here again.  From the phone booking to checking in, these folks genuinely go above and beyond in service and contribution to their guests.  Immeasurable gratitude.

This place is a breathe of fresh air and a quiet retreat from Nevada's long highways... It's a nostalgic throw back from the motor lodge days of America. Super helpful staff always make you feel warm and welcome! A wonderful pool an even some swings and tether ball to remind you of your childhood.  A bunch of new future development is in the works for the classic lodge.

 Absolutely mind blowing. From the outside it didn't look like much. But since the 48 hours I've been here, it's been nothing but superb.

Cleanliness. Absolutely on point. Stana and Yesenia excel at their jobs. Rooms are always tight, prepared and orderly.
Place is always clean and prepared.
They have extreme attention to detail.

Place is fully equipped with towels, and sheets and toiletries.
AC is more than adequate (new).
Lighting is abundant and offers a wide variety of flexibility to your personal comfortability.

Not a single complaint and would/will recommend this place to any/everyone.
